Warehouse Operative

Location: Darlington
Job: Warehouse OperativeWe are seeking several dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join our client based in Darlington.

PLEASE BE AWARE DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TESTS WILL BE PERFORMED PRIOR TO STARTING THIS ROLE AND RANDOMLY THROUGHOUT YOUR ASSIGNMENT.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming pallets, being able to organise and work in a fast past environment is key! You will also ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse environment.

Shifts:

We are recruiting for the following shifts.

Front Shift - 5.00am until finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.

AM Shift - 9am until Finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.

PM Shift - 2pm until Finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.

Pay rate is £12.71 per hour, paid weekly on a Friday.

5 days over 7 which includes working some weekends, 2 weekends in, 1 weekend off rota.

Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming Pallets
- Organise and maintain inventory in the warehouse
- Perform quality control checks on incoming pallets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pump trucks.
- Always follow health and safety guidelines
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Operative or similar role
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Forklift certification is a plus
