Sales Engineer - Aftermarket

Future Prospects Group are proud to recruiting a full time, permanent Sales Engineer for one of the world's leading manufacturing businesses. The overall purpose of the Sales Engineer role will be to deliver sales and technical support for the company's distributors and MRO customers in the sales region.
The Role
The duties of the Sales Engineer will include the following core duties:
* Identify and develop sales led opportunities to support and expand the company's industrial aftermarket business.
* Initiate and manage sales and engineering project activity that develops major opportunities into successful aftermarket business.
* Maintain awareness of latest company products/technologies and application developments in the marketplace to ensure advice/guidance is current and appropriate.
* Develop and provide product/application training to internal and external sales staff of Distribution & MRO to maximise sales opportunities.
* Drive and maintain both sales and project opportunities via agreed company processes.
* Develop relationships with the direct customers in the specific sales region and assigned accounts.
* Use and maintain “Salesforce” CRM system for all commercial and project opportunities.
* Using the above accountabilities to successfully lead, drive and manage key sales projects throughout the sales cycle.
The Candidate
The ideal Sales Engineer will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Degree level education or equivalent qualifications in a related discipline (desirable, not essential).
* Experience of complex Industrial Distributor relationships and the strategy and tactics for a network of Distributors.
* Competent in the application and knowledge of bearing technology.
* Organisational skills to prioritise, manage and develop the different accounts.
* Ability to utilise relevant skills in the selling of the company's technology and brand.
* Able to maintain credibility with customers when faced with sales, technical and quality issues demanding immediate response.
* Good understanding of the MRO end-user UK customer base (relating to power transmission, rotating equipment, bearing usage).
