Production MIG Welder
Location: Eye, Suffolk - Own transport recommended due to rural location
4-Day Week | Monday-Thursday | 38 hours | 7:00am-5:00pm
Pay from £15.50 - £16.50 per hour, DOE
Overtime Rate at Time and a Third
The role:
We are recruiting a Production MIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing team producing welded components for medical equipment. This is a production-focused position, ideal for someone experienced in MIG welding with jigs/fixtures and confident reading CAD drawings to work to consistent quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
MIG weld components using jigs/fixtures to required tolerances and standards
Read and follow CAD drawings and work instructions
Carry out basic visual inspection of welds, reporting defects and supporting rework as needed
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workstation
Work to production targets while maintaining quality
Essential requirements:
Minimum 1 year's MIG welding experience in a production environment
Experience production welding using jigs/fixtures
Ability to read CAD drawings
Reliable, detail-focused and able to work to deadlines/targets
TIG welding experience - beneficial
