Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire, UK
Salary: £31,493 to £34,495 (sleep allowance included)
Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a leading specialist provider as a Children's Residential Support Worker in Kettering. This role involves supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a safe, nurturing environment. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives and eager to develop your career within health and social care, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, appropriate to their age.
* Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
* Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
* Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
* Support children and young people in promoting their independence and overall well-being.
* Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and reward systems.
* Support young people through taxing behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or with Young People is desirable but not essential.
* Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
* Must hold a full UK driver’s licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
* Must be over the age of 21.
* Ability to commute to Kettering.
