We’re looking for an experienced BMS Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at a major commercial building in East London. The site is a large, high-profile office environment with complex building systems, so we need someone confident working in a live, critical setting where reliability really matters.
You’ll be responsible for day-to-day operation of the Building Management System, along with fault finding, maintenance, and general optimisation of plant performance. There’s also a strong focus on energy efficiency and making sure systems are running as effectively as possible.
What you’ll be doing
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and controls systems
* Diagnosing faults and getting systems back online quickly and safely
* Monitoring HVAC plant and adjusting controls where needed
* Supporting energy reduction and optimisation work
* Working with subcontractors and site teams when specialist input is needed
* Keeping records up to date and making sure compliance standards are met
What we’re looking for
* Solid experience as a BMS Engineer in commercial buildings (or similar environments)
* Strong fault-finding skills and a practical approach to problem solving
* Familiarity with systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider or similar
* Good understanding of HVAC and general building services
* Able to communicate clearly with engineers, contractors, and site management
