Hales Group are pleased to be working with their client, near Diss, to assist them in finding a Distribution Administrator.
The successful candidate will support the efficient delivery of products to customers by managing orders, export documentation, and shipment processes within a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating domestic and international shipments in the most cost-effective manner while meeting customer delivery requirements.
Preparing and maintaining accurate shipping and export documentation in compliance with relevant regulations.
Liaising with customers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure the smooth dispatch of orders and timely communication of shipment information.
Working closely with the Packing Department to ensure appropriate and efficient packing methods are used for each shipment.
Providing transport advice and obtaining freight quotations to support the Sales Department.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within business systems.
Supporting the Distribution Manager with administrative and operational activities as required.
Providing cover for the Distribution Manager and wider Distribution team during periods of absence.
Undertaking any other reasonable duties consistent with the role.
Essential Skill and Attributes:
Proven experience within a Logistics, Distribution, or Shipping role.
Strong understanding of logistics coordination, transport planning, and shipment processes.
Additional language skills would be advantageous but are not essential.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Strong team player with an open and collaborative working style.
