We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable main dealership in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. This is a key role for experienced motor trade professionals looking to advance their careers in a well-established and supportive environment.
Our client offers a Vehicle Technician position that combines excellent remuneration, ongoing development, and a focus on quality customer service.
Key benefits of the Vehicle Technician role include:
Competitive salary from £33,614.10 up to £40,376.00 per annum, based on experience
Performance-based bonuses and overtime opportunities
Working hours of 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday morning on a rota
24 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days for long-serving employees

Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment
Perform complex repairs including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and brake system replacements
Carry out comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify faults and advise on necessary repairs
Complete accurate service and repair documentation to high standards
Adhere to all safety procedures within a busy workshop environment
Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology through ongoing training
Deliver professional customer service by explaining repair needs clearlyRequirements for the Vehicle Technician position:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a reputable automotive dealership or workshop
NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
MOT qualification is advantageous but not essential
Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
