Are you passionate about Mathematics and eager to help young people unlock their potential?
Smile Education is working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school in the West Bromwich area to recruit an enthusiastic Maths Academic Mentor for September. This is an excellent opportunity for Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Learning Support Assistants, or Cover Supervisors looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting.
Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Maths Academic Mentor, you will:
Deliver targeted intervention sessions for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Provide one-to-one and small group support to improve mathematical understanding and confidence.
Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging Maths lessons.
Help prepare students for GCSE Maths examinations.
Encourage problem-solving skills and develop a positive attitude towards Mathematics.We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds a degree in Mathematics or a related subject (or has relevant classroom experience).
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is passionate about education and helping students achieve their best.
Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
Is reliable, enthusiastic and proactive.What We Offer
