Construction Site Manager
Role Overview
A growing mechanical, electrical and construction contractor is seeking a Construction / Site Manager to oversee a full refurbishment and small civils package . This is an initial 3‑month contract, with further sites available afterwards. They are also open to permanent employment if that suits your preference.
You’ll be joining a business delivering a wide range of M&E and construction refit projects across the South Coast . Work is predominantly public authority construction, including NHS and County Council frameworks, with project values typically ranging from £350k to £2m.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage day‑to‑day site operations for a full refurb + civils project
*
Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery
*
Maintain H&S compliance, site documentation and reporting
*
Liaise with clients, college representatives and internal teams
*
Ensure programme, quality and cost targets are met
*
Support wider project delivery as the business continues to expand
What They’re Looking For
*
Strong background in refurbishment, civils or public‑sector construction
*
Experience managing live‑environment projects (education, NHS, council works)
*
Solid understanding of H&S, RAMS, site compliance and stakeholder management
*
Confident communicator with a proactive, organised approach
*
Able to lead site teams and maintain high standards of delivery
