Account Manager

£40,000 Monday to Friday Early Finish Every Friday Permanent

Looking after customers is one thing. Becoming part of their business is another.

If you're an experienced Account Manager from a manufacturing environment who loves building long-term relationships, solving problems and keeping complex projects moving, this could be exactly what you're looking for. This isn't a sales role where you're chasing targets and cold calling.

Instead, you'll take ownership of a small portfolio of valued customers, becoming their trusted point of contact from the moment an order is placed right through to delivery. You'll be the person they rely on to keep projects on track, provide updates, solve challenges and make sure expectations are exceeded.

It's a role where organisation, communication and commercial awareness all come together.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same, but you'll be responsible for:

Managing a portfolio of key customer accounts.
Coordinating customer orders from initial enquiry through to final delivery.
Working closely with Planning, Production, Engineering and Purchasing to keep projects moving.
Building strong, long-term customer relationships based on trust and communication.
Providing regular updates and proactively resolving any issues.
Managing multiple customer requirements and priorities simultaneously.
Visiting customers when required to strengthen relationships and support projects. What we're looking for

You'll already have experience managing customer accounts within a manufacturing environment and enjoy being the person who keeps everything running smoothly.

Previous Account Management or Customer Account Management experience within manufacturing.
Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
Confidence dealing with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
Experience using MRP or ERP systems.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
The ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple priorities.
A technical understanding gained within electronics manufacturing or a closely related industry. Why join?

You'll become part of a business that genuinely values long-term customer partnerships and gives its Account Managers the autonomy to make a real difference.

In return you'll receive:

Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Performance bonus scheme
5 weeks' holiday plus Bank Holidays
Company pension
Early finish every Friday (1:00pm!)Please note:

This is a fully site-based position. Collaboration is at the heart of the business, and you'll work closely with production, engineering and planning teams to deliver the best possible service for customers.

Ready to take ownership?

If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems and making sure customers receive an exceptional service, we'd love to hear from you.
