Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Cranbrook ,Kent
Salary: Up to £45,000 per Annam
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm - no weekends

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Cranbrook; Kent. This is a permanent, full-time position working a Monday to Friday late shift, offering an excellent opportunity for a mechanically biased engineer to play a key role in keeping production machinery running efficiently and reliably.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a busy food production environment, ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard, downtime is minimised and health and safety standards are consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical faults on production machinery and carry out effective repairs.
Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across factory equipment.
Maintain, clean and service production machinery to support optimum performance.
Support the Maintenance Manager with machinery, building and general site upkeep.
Ensure internal and external areas of the site are maintained to a high standard.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised engineering workshop.
Complete maintenance records, reports and documentation accurately.
Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
Undertake training and development activities as required.Requirements
Relevant mechanical engineering qualification.
Minimum 5 years' hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
Strong fault-finding, repair and maintenance skills on production machinery.
Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment would be beneficial.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a maintenance team.
Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
Reliable, proactive and committed to maintaining high engineering standards.Package
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
