Location: Altrincham, WA15 (Office & Site Based)
Salary: £30,000 – £37,500
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Additional Hours: Regular overtime, weekend work and overnight stays as required
Overview
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Event Technician (Audio Engineer) to join our growing live events team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role delivering exceptional audio solutions across a diverse portfolio of live, virtual, and hybrid events, including corporate conferences, awards ceremonies, sporting events, private functions, live music performances, and large-scale productions.
As part of our technical team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of audio production from preparation through to live operation. Working alongside talented technicians and freelance crews, you'll play a key role in delivering seamless event experiences while maintaining excellent client relationships and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Rig, configure, operate, and de-rig professional audio systems for a wide range of live, virtual, and hybrid events
Mix Front of House and monitor sound for live music performances, alongside delivering high-quality audio for corporate conferences, awards ceremonies, and commercial events
Lead and support freelance technicians on-site while acting as a professional representative of the company with clients, venues, and suppliers
Prepare, maintain, test, and organise audio equipment within the warehouse, ensuring all equipment is event-ready
Work closely with the Head of Audio to develop departmental standards, improve processes, and support the ongoing development of the audio department
Deliver and collect equipment using company vehicles while supporting other technical departments where required
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Live Events Audio Engineer, ideally within the corporate events sector
Proven experience mixing Front of House and monitor sound for live music performances
Experience delivering audio for high-profile corporate conferences, awards events, and live productions
Strong knowledge of Yamaha digital mixing consoles, particularly the CL and QL series
Experience with d&b line arrays, amplifiers, ArrayCalc, and R1 control network
Proficient in programming and operating QLab
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy technical team
Calm and confident under pressure with excellent troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
High standards of professionalism, presentation, and attention to detail
Full UK Driving Licence and own transport
