We are currently supporting an excellent opportunity for an ex-service individual to begin a structured career pathway into project management within the mechanical and construction sector.
This role combines hands-on industry experience with a fully funded Associate Project Management Apprenticeship (18–21 months), ultimately leading to a Junior Project Manager qualification.
The successful candidate will work within a live project environment while completing formal training, providing a clear and supported transition from military service into a long-term civilian career in project delivery.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Supporting project managers in the delivery of mechanical and construction projects
* Assisting with coordination of site activities, planning, and scheduling
* Liaising with engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients
* Supporting project documentation, reporting, and administration
* Learning project lifecycle processes from pre-construction through to completion
* Gaining exposure to commercial, operational, and technical project functions
* Ensuring work is delivered safely and in line with project requirements
Candidate Requirements:
* Ex-service background (essential)
* Mechanical experience (e.g. pipework, HVAC, mechanical engineering or similar)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Interest in progressing into project management
* Willingness to complete an apprenticeship programme alongside employment
* Organised, motivated, and eager to learn
