Join a reputable organisation in Stockport as an HGV Technician - Nights. This is a valuable opportunity for experienced professionals to secure a permanent position within a well-established company that prioritises safety, staff development, and work-life balance.
Benefits:
Competitive salary up to £52,000 per annum, including overtime opportunities
Permanent night shift pattern – 4 days on / 4 days off, 19:00 – 07:00
Up to 33 days holiday including bank holidays (pro-rata)
Annual pay reviews, with previous increases averaging 3%
Overtime available as required, often exceeding standard hours

Supportive working environment focused on employee wellbeingDuties of a HGV Technician :
Maintain and repair commercial vehicles to manufacturer and VOSA standards
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
Conduct scheduled inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Ensure vehicle availability aligns with operational schedules
Promote and uphold health and safety standards within the workshop as a HGV Technician
Maintain a clean and organised work-space, audit-ready at all times
Support continuous improvement within the Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU)
Flexibly work across various VMU tasks as requiredRequirements of a HGV Technician :
Proven experience in LGV fleet maintenance within a commercial environment
City & Guilds LGV qualifications or equivalent in LGV Vehicle Crafts
Strong organisational and teamworking skills
Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
