Role Title: Oracle/SQL Database Administrator
Location: Manchester/Barrow - Hybrid 80% office & 20% home
Duration: 3-month contract
Pay rate: £492 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)
Role Description:
Role Summary:
- DBA required to support Oracle and SQL Server databases within the Dragonfly secure environment, ensuring performance, availability, and stability of BAU services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and tune Oracle & SQL Server databasesManage incidents, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisPerform backups, restores, patching, and upgrades Support HA/DR (eg AlwaysOn, Data Guard/RAC) Ensure security and compliance in a secure environment
Key Skills
- Strong Oracle and/or SQL Server DBA experience Performance tuning and troubleshooting expertise Backup/restore and HA/DR knowledge ITIL/managed service experience preferred
