Office Administrator / Service Administrator

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

Our client is a busy, well-established independent garage and MOT centre, committed to providing excellent customer service and high-quality vehicle repairs and servicing. They pride ourselves on their professionalism, honesty and friendly approach, and are looking for an organised and reliable Office Administrator to become an important part of their team.

The Role

This is a varied role at the heart of the business. You'll be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office while supporting the workshop team with administration and customer communication.

We're looking for someone who is professional, organised, confident and enjoys providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

* Greeting customers and handling enquiries both in person and over the phone.

* Booking MOTs, vehicle servicing and repair appointments.

* Managing the workshop diary and scheduling appointments.

* Preparing estimates, invoices and customer paperwork.

* Updating customer and vehicle records accurately.

* Liaising with customers regarding repairs, progress updates and vehicle collection.

* Ordering parts and working with suppliers where required.

* Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records.

* Managing emails and general office correspondence.

* Supporting the management team with day-to-day administration.

* Maintaining a tidy, organised and professional reception area.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

* Friendly, professional and approachable.

* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

* Confident communicating with customers.

* Able to prioritise work and remain calm under pressure.

* Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.

* Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office.

* Able to work independently and as part of a small team.

Desirable Experience

* Previous office administration or receptionist experience.

* Customer service experience.

* Experience within the motor trade or automotive industry (advantageous but not essential).

* Experience using garage management systems (beneficial but full training will be provided).
