Auxo Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in Nottingham for two experienced CNC Turners. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing manufacturer renowned for producing high-quality precision components across a range of industries.

The Role
As a CNC Turner, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components to tight tolerances. Working within a modern machining environment, you'll play a key role in delivering quality products efficiently while supporting continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines.
Manufacture precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Select appropriate tooling, machine settings, and cutting parameters for each job.
Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Maintain exceptional quality standards and work to tight tolerances.
Meet production schedules while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Carry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organised work area.
Identify opportunities to improve machining processes and productivity.
Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support production objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Previous experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering environment.
Experience programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines.
The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
A strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a skilled manufacturing team.
A positive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality components.
Desirable Experience
Experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens control systems.
Experience machining a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement techniques.
Experience working within an ISO-accredited manufacturing environment.
