Product Review Engineer (Material Review Board / Liaison)
Location:Birmingham, UK (Onsite)
Duration:6 to 12 Months Contract
Security Clearance:SC Clearance Required (Day 1 Active)
Work Schedule:Monday to Thursday (Alternating Early & Late Shifts)
Shift Hours:Early: 06:30 - 16:30 | Late: 16:00 - 02:00
Remuneration Rate:£45 per hour
Role Overview
A highly specialized design/repair role with the formal authority to assess aircraft non-conformances, design engineering solutions, and sign off on technical repairs. This is a niche contracting position perfect for a problem-solving engineer who thrives on the interface between design and shop floor execution.
Key Responsibilities
Assess aircraft non-conformances, collaborate with the design organization, and deliver compliant engineering repair solutions.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for aircraft issues to map out actionable, step-by-step resolution paths for the shop floor.
Evaluate engineering designs to guarantee configurations revert safely back to required specifications.
Partner closely with both the Engineering Design Team and the Quality Team to deliver rigorous technical analysis.Candidate Requirements & Experience
Robust design engineering background with experience in commercial or defense aviation environments.
Part 21J experience is highly preferred.
Open to candidates from either an Electrical or Structural/Mechanical discipline.
