Sewing Machinist
£12.71 per hour + Regular Overtime Available | Full-Time | Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (42.5 hours per week)
Are you an experienced Sewing Machinist looking to join a well-established and growing business? Do you take pride in producing high-quality work and want the opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career?
Due to continued growth, we are looking for motivated and reliable Sewing Machinists to join our production team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate lockstitch and overlock sewing machines to produce high-quality finished products.
Measure, mark, cut and sew a variety of fabrics and materials.
Operate manual and mechanical cutting, eyeleting and associated equipment.
Produce basic patterns and work from pattern instructions and technical drawings.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Package completed goods ready for dispatch.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Follow all company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
Support the wider production team as required.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines.
Ability to read and interpret pattern instructions.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
Experience creating basic patterns would be advantageous.
