The Role
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of mechanical packages on projects ranging from £4 million to £20 million. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Design Engineers, and Clients, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and within budget.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing mechanical works from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
* Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
* Ensuring all works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and budget requirements.
* Supporting procurement of mechanical equipment and materials.
* Reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
* Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing solutions.
* Maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring high standards of health and safety throughout project delivery.
About You
We're looking for candidates who have:
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within the water, utilities, or civil engineering sectors.
* Strong experience delivering sewer works, pumping stations, and process/chemical works projects.
* Experience working on projects valued between £4 million and £20 million.
* A solid understanding of mechanical installations, project planning, procurement, and commercial awareness.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
