Lead Transport Planner

Alexander Steele Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a successful FMCG business in their search for a Lead Transport Planner.

This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day planning and optimisation of a UK-wide delivery fleet, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, on time and in full. You will coordinate fleet movements, driver schedules, supplier collections and internal transfers while maintaining compliance with transport legislation and drivers' hours regulations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving fleet utilisation, reducing costs, enhancing service levels and supporting continuous improvement across transport operations.

Key Requirements:

* Transport planning experience within a fast-paced environment

* Strong understanding of transport compliance and drivers' hours regulations

* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

* Ability to manage changing priorities and operational demands

* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Hours: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:30
