Monday – Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm)
Salary: £515 - £550 per week

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our friendly French/English bilingual primary school. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with additional learning needs in a nurturing, multilingual environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in helping children access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential in both English and French learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions.
Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and communication development.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
Foster positive relationships that promote confidence, independence, and inclusion.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and specialist professionals.
Contribute to maintaining a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment.
Encourage pupils to participate fully in all aspects of school life.We Are Looking for Someone Who:

Has experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
Is patient, compassionate, and committed to inclusive education.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Works effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
Is flexible, organised, and proactive.
Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
Speaks English fluently. French language skills are desirable but not essential (or adjust this to "Fluent in both English and French" if bilingualism is required)Why Horizon Teachers
