IT Business Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery sessions and analyse technical and operational environments.
- Gather, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
- Create process maps, logical diagrams, and operational documentation.
- Assess systems, applications, and business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Define acceptance criteria and support solution delivery.
- Perform feasibility and impact assessments for change initiatives.
- Maintain and prioritise requirements backlogs.
- Engage with stakeholders across technology, operations, project management, and leadership teams.
- Support continuous improvement and business transformation activities.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong business analysis experience.
- Requirements elicitation and management expertise.
- Process analysis and process improvement experience.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- BCS Diploma (or equivalent Business Analysis qualification).
- SC Clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
Desirable
- Agile delivery experience.
- Product Owner and/or Scrum Master certification.
- Defence sector experience.
- Manufacturing environment experience.
- Knowledge of MOD or Government assurance frameworks and standards.
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, Power BI, Spotfire, or similar.
