Investment Surveyor
Location: London
Rate: £550 per day
Contract: 6 months ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group are supporting a local authority who are looking for an experienced Investment Surveyor to join a Temporary Accommodation Acquisitions team within a Housing directorate. This role focuses on sourcing and securing private sector residential properties for use as temporary accommodation, including single units and larger blocks.
You will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end acquisition and leasing process, from sourcing and negotiations through to due diligence, inspections and internal reporting, in line with governance requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Sourcing suitable private sector residential stock
Negotiating acquisition and lease terms with agents, landlords and vendors
Completing pre-purchase due diligence and coordinating key checks
Carrying out property inspections to support acquisition decisions
Producing clear internal reports and recommendations for approvals/governance
Maintaining accurate tracking and reporting
About you:
Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial or residential property transactions
Strong negotiation skills and commercial judgement
Comfortable producing written reports for internal approvals and governance
Strong Excel and general Windows capability
RICS qualification preferred, but strong relevant residential sales/lettings or acquisition experience considered
