Support Worker - Care Leavers (Aged 16-21)
We are currently recruiting experienced Support Workers to work with young people aged 16-21 who are care leavers, providing safe, structured, and person?centred support.
This role requires confident, resilient individuals who are comfortable working long shifts, sleep?ins, and lone working environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting young people to develop independence and life skills
Promoting positive behaviours and emotional wellbeing
Supporting with daily routines and practical tasks
Working independently and making appropriate decisions when lone working
Maintaining accurate records and following care plans
Ensuring safeguarding and duty of care at all times
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Support Worker
Proven experience supporting care leavers or similar services
Experience working long shifts, sleep?ins, and lone working
Strong communication and professional boundaries
Ability to work calmly in challenging situations
Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people
Desirable:
Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care
Knowledge of trauma?informed care and safeguarding procedures
