At The Farmhouse, our therapeutic children's home in Great Haywood, Staffordshire, we provide a safe, nurturing home for up to three children aged 5–12 who have experienced significant early-life trauma.

Using our unique Prep4Fostering model, we help children heal, grow and develop the confidence and emotional resilience they need to move into loving, long-term foster families.

This is your opportunity to become part of a close-knit, supportive team that truly changes lives.

Why Join Us?

We believe exceptional care starts with exceptional support for our team.

When you join The Farmhouse, you'll benefit from:

*

A small, family-style home where you can build meaningful relationships with children.

*

A trauma-informed, therapeutic approach that puts children first.

*

Ongoing support and guidance from our dedicated Clinical Psychologist.

*

Excellent training and professional development opportunities.

*

A supportive management team who value your wellbeing and career progression.

*

The opportunity to progress into a Senior Residential Support Worker role if you're ready for the next step.

About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker (or Senior Residential Support Worker), you'll play a vital role in helping children feel safe, secure and understood.

You'll:

*

Create a warm, caring and therapeutic home environment.

*

Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies and family contact.

*

Encourage independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing.

*

Build positive, trusting relationships that help children recover from trauma.

*

Work alongside colleagues, therapists and external professionals to achieve the very best outcomes.

*

Maintain accurate records and contribute to personalised care plans.

No two days are the same—but every day gives you the chance to make a lasting impact.

What We're Looking For

Essential

*

Full UK driving licence.

*

Right to work in the UK.

*

Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins.

*

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.

*

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

*

A caring, resilient and positive attitude.

*

Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred therapeutic care.

Desirable

*

Experience working in a children's residential home.

*

Experience supporting children who have experienced trauma or emotional and behavioural difficulties.

*

Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.

*

PRICE, Team Teach or similar behaviour management training.

We also welcome applications from experienced Residential Support Workers who hold a Level 3 qualification and are looking to take the next step into a Senior role.

Is This You?

We're looking for people who are compassionate, patient and emotionally resilient—people who understand that trust takes time and that small victories can have life-changing outcomes.

If you're committed to helping children heal from trauma and build brighter futures, we'd love to hear from you.

Start a Career That Changes Lives

This isn't just another care job.

It's an opportunity to become a trusted adult in a child's life, helping them rediscover safety, happiness and hope for the future.

Apply today and be part of a team that's transforming children's lives—one child at a time
