Warranty Engineer / Administrator

We are recruiting a highly organised and detail-oriented Warranty Engineer / Administrator to join our clients here in Aylesbury.

This particular role is being recruited on an ongoing, temporary basis.

As a Warranty Engineer / Administrator, you will be based in the Stores Department, with responsibilities for managing the warranty process for components and equipment, ensuring accurate administration, stock control, and liaison with suppliers and internal engineering teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in maximising warranty recoveries whilst maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Manage warranty claims for defective railway components and equipment.

* Inspect returned items and determine warranty eligibility.

* Process warranty returns with OEMs and suppliers.

* Maintain accurate warranty records, databases and supporting documentation.

* Liaise with engineering, maintenance and procurement teams regarding warranty issues.

* Monitor warranty claim progress and ensure timely resolution.

* Coordinate the return, replacement and receipt of warranty parts.

* Support stores operations, including stock control and inventory accuracy.

* Raise purchase orders and process supplier documentation where required.

Skills required:

* Experience processing engineering warranty claims.

* Knowledge of rolling stock components and maintenance practices.

* Understanding of industry standards and documentation Methodical and accurate.

* Strong problem-solving skills.

* Self-motivated and able to work independently.

* Team player with a proactive attitude.

* Professional and customer-focused.

* Reliable with excellent time management.

What’s on offer:

* Salary: £15.35 per hour

* Hours – 07:00 – 15:00 or 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
