Are you experienced in stores or warehouse operations within manufacturing? As a Stores Person based in Andover, you’ll be essential in managing stock flow—from receipt to dispatch—ensuring our engineering teams have the materials they need, right when they need them. Working independently, you will prepare materials, maintain stock accuracy, and operate forklifts safely to support our dynamic fabrication environment.

Key responsibilities:

* Unload, inspect, and accurately book-in deliveries, ensuring any damage or discrepancies are reported

* Allocate stock to designated storage areas, maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment

* Pick and pack orders with 100% accuracy for internal teams or external dispatch

* Prepare shipping documentation and liaise with couriers for prompt collections

* Support material preparation and maintain the T-Card system for clear task and stock visibility

* Perform regular stock counts to ensure system records match physical stock

* Identify and report low stock levels to the purchasing team promptly

* Safely operate a Counterbalance forklift to move and stack heavy materials

Your profile:

* Proven experience in stores or warehouse roles, ideally in manufacturing or heavy engineering

* Forklift licence (Counterbalance FLT) highly preferred

* Familiarity with stock control systems, especially manual T-Card systems, and basic computer skills

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings is advantageous but not essential

* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team

* Comfortable with manual handling and the physical demands of a busy warehouse environment
