Admissions, Attendance & Reception Officer
Location: South West London
Salary: £30k - £32k (Pro Rata Salary: Approximately £28k- £29k)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Contract: Term Time Only - 39 Weeks Per Year
We are seeking an organised, professional and customer-focused Admissions, Attendance & Reception Officer to join a busy school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Admissions
Manage the admissions process in line with policies and procedures.
Respond to enquiries from prospective parents and carers.
Coordinate visits and tours for prospective families.
Maintain accurate pupil records and admissions documentation.
Liaise with parents, local authorities and partner schools regarding admissions and transfers.Attendance
Monitor daily attendance and punctuality.
Follow up on unexplained absences and attendance concerns.
Maintain accurate attendance records using school management systems.
Produce attendance reports and support attendance improvement initiatives.
Work closely with parents, carers and external agencies to promote good attendance.
Ensure attendance data is submitted accurately and within required deadlines.Reception & Customer Service
Manage telephone calls, emails and general enquiries.
Administer visitor management procedures and maintain visitor records.
Handle deliveries, post and internal communications.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.Data & Administration
Maintain accurate and confidential pupil records.
Support statutory returns and school census requirements.
Produce reports and provide data analysis as required.
Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
Assist with the organisation of school events and activities.First Aid & Medical Administration
Provide first aid support in accordance with training and procedures.
Maintain records of incidents, treatments and medical information.
Support the administration of medicines.
Manage first aid supplies and equipment.
Liaise with families regarding illness, accidents and medical needs.
Coordinate health programmes and visits from external health professionals.Requirements:
GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
Experience in an administrative and/or customer-facing role.
Experience handling confidential information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
