Are you a dedicated and supportive Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming college in Tonbridge seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September.
This rewarding role will involve supporting learners both in the classroom and in practical outdoor environments, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied working day and is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential.
The Role
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students across a range of college courses.
Support learners with Maths and English, helping to build confidence and improve academic progress.
Work alongside teaching staff to ensure students can fully access the curriculum.
Assist students during practical outdoor sessions, including agricultural and land-based activities.
Encourage independence, engagement and positive learning behaviours.
Help monitor student progress and contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
Strong Maths and English skills, with experience supporting learners in these subjects.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and willing to support practical agricultural lessons and activities.
Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
Able to build positive relationships with students and staff.
Experience supporting students with additional learning needs is desirable but not essential.
