Electronics Design Engineer

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are seeking a demonstrable and motivated Electronics Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands on engineer with strong PCB design experience who enjoys taking ownership of projects from concept through to production.

The successful candidate will have experience designing low-voltage electronic systems and multi-layer PCBs, with a strong understanding of EMC compliance and electronic product development. You will work across a diverse range of products, supporting both new developments and enhancements to existing designs while collaborating closely with testing and validation teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop low-voltage electronic systems and PCB layouts

* Ensure designs comply with EMC, regulatory, and industry standards.

* Support new product development projects from concept through to manufacture.

* Improve and maintain existing electronic products and systems.

* Work closely with testing and validation teams to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance.

* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to a Test Engineer, supporting skills development within the team.

* Manage multiple design projects, taking ownership and delivering solutions with minimal supervision.

* Create and maintain technical documentation, schematics, BOMs, and design records.

* Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.

Essential Requirements

* Proven experience in electronics design and PCB layout.

* Strong PCB design capability, including experience with PCB boards

* Good understanding of EMC design principles and compliance requirements.

* Experience designing low-voltage electronic systems.

* Ability to work independently and make informed engineering decisions.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers or technicians.

Desirable Skills

Familiarity with product testing, validation, and manufacturing support.

Experience working across diverse product portfolios.

Knowledge of relevant electronic design standards and regulations.

Understanding of analogue and digital circuit design principles.

Personal Attributes

* Strong attention to detail.

* Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.

* Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

* Committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

* Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

* Relevant industry experience will also be considered in place of formal qualifications.
