We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Qualified Teacher (QTS essential) to join a welcoming primary school in Welling, Bexley on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young learners during a crucial stage of their education.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and be confident delivering high-quality phonics teaching using Letters and Sounds. Previous experience teaching phonics is essential.

The Role

Full-time Year 1 Class Teacher

September start

Based in Welling, Bexley

Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the Year 1 curriculum

Plan, assess, and monitor pupil progress

Deliver high-quality phonics sessions using the Letters and Sounds programme

Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

Previous experience teaching in a UK primary school or successful completion of teacher training placements

Experience teaching Year 1 or Key Stage 1 is highly desirable

Essential experience delivering phonics using the Letters and Sounds programme

Strong classroom management skills

Excellent communication and organisational abilities
