Assistant Product Manager

Gold Group is recruiting for an Assistant Product Manager on behalf of our client.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in product management within a hands-on hardware environment. Working alongside experienced product and technical teams, you will support the development and delivery of a portfolio of AV hardware products used in demanding, real-world environments.

The Role

As Assistant Product Manager in the hardware team, you will support the Hardware Product Manager in delivering and improving a range of AV hardware products.

You will work closely with engineering, technical, customer and operational teams to translate business and customer requirements into practical product improvements, coordinate delivery activities, and ensure product changes are successfully implemented.

This is a varied role combining product support, stakeholder coordination, documentation and change management, making it ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in technology and hardware products.

Key Responsibilities

Support the delivery of the hardware product roadmap.
Gather and translate customer and operational feedback into product requirements.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Development, Test, Technical Support and Customer teams to coordinate delivery.
Assist with the rollout of hardware updates, ensuring effective communication and smooth handovers to customers and internal teams.
Support change management activities, including documentation, training and product adoption.
Create and maintain product and technical documentation.
Contribute to continuous product improvements and help keep delivery on track.

About You

Essential

Experience supporting product development or product delivery activities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
An interest in AV hardware or technology products.
An understanding of how hardware, software and connectivity work together.
A practical, delivery-focused approach to problem solving.
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally with regular overnight stays.

Desirable

A qualification in product management, engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience using customer feedback or market insight to support product decisions.
Experience working with technology products in customer-facing environments.
