Male SEN Teaching Assistant - South Liverpool
Location: South Liverpool
Position: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in South Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of a young person by providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals. You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
Support pupils with autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
A proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
