A Bid Manager who has been heavily involved in M&E / FM bids is required for a newly created role in a fast growing SME in a Senior capacity in the Berkshire area.
The key part of the role is to manage and deliver successful bids that result in tender wins.
You will be required to effectively and comprehensively ensure that all tenders are in line with the client’s requirements, and correctly estimated.
* Add commercial value through analysis of internal and external financial levers
* Lead on key cross-department projects and act as interface between Sales, Mobilisation, Operations and the Business generally.
* Manage the estimating team to ensure that tenders are accurate
* Offer support, guidance and mentoring to the Sales team where necessary
* Manage the team’s workload to ensure sufficient time is allocated to produce accurate bids
* Effectively manage the pipeline to identify and win new contracts whilst advising the Managing Director of whether the tender should be pursued or rejected
* Review and write all PQQ submissions to the respective clients
* Write clear, concise and articulate tender proposals and clarifications
* Ensuring the completion of all relevant and associated bid documentation, including presentations
* Liaise with the Managing Director to ensure any tenders are indicative of our business and the individual client’s needs and objectives
* Acting as an advisor & resource for Directors on pricing decisions
* Developing innovative pricing propositions that enhance practice group abilities to win profitable work
* Work to a high degree of accuracy with good organisational skills with strong communication skills
