Red Sky Personnel are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Tier 1 civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major water and infrastructure projects across the South.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across long-term framework agreements, offering excellent career development and progression.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial support across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring effective cost management, contractual compliance and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with operational, engineering and commercial teams, you will play a key role in managing project costs, subcontractor accounts and client relationships while identifying commercial opportunities and mitigating project risks.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate cost reporting and monthly CVRs.
Produce cost forecasts, cash flow forecasts and commercial reports.
Manage subcontract procurement, administration and final accounts.
Prepare applications for payment, valuations and variations.
Administer subcontractor payments, certificates and accruals.
Support contract administration under NEC and ICE forms of contract.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal project teams on commercial matters.
Monitor commercial risks and identify opportunities to improve project performance.
Support change management and ensure commercial processes are followed.
Work closely with site teams to maximise commercial performance across projects.
What We're Looking For
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
Previous experience working for a main contractor.
Strong understanding of NEC and/or ICE contracts.
Experience managing subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting.
Knowledge of CVRs, forecasting, earned value and cost analysis.
Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding.
HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
MRICS or working towards a charter is advantageous.
A CSCS card is desirable.
