Mechanical Building Services Engineer
The Opportunity
We are working with a leading UK construction contractor seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join its Building Services team in Bristol. You'll support projects from pre-construction through delivery, coordinating design, procurement and installation while working alongside project, design and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Support tender and pre-construction activities including design reviews, buildability assessments and value engineering.
* Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to deliver fully integrated M&E solutions.
* Manage technical queries, RFIs and design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
* Lead coordination of mechanical services, ensuring compliance with specifications, programme and budget.
* Review and approve technical submissions, installation drawings and commissioning information.
* Monitor procurement, factory testing and delivery of plant and equipment.
* Carry out site inspections and support construction teams to resolve technical issues.
* Ensure designs meet quality, safety, maintainability and commissioning requirements.
About You
* Experience delivering mechanical building services packages within construction.
* Background with a main contractor or M&E contractor.
* Engineering degree, HNC/HND or equivalent preferred.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery.
* Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
