Occupational Therapist
Location: Ceredigion, Wales (Hybrid – Home & Office)
Rate: £42.63 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 37 hours per week
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Community Occupational Therapy team in Ceredigion. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting adults and older people to maximise their independence, safety, and quality of life within their own homes and communities.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will manage a varied caseload, carrying out specialist occupational therapy assessments, recommending equipment and housing adaptations, completing moving and handling assessments, and delivering person-centred interventions that enable individuals to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied community caseload of adults and older people.
* Carry out comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.
* Assess and recommend specialist equipment and major/minor housing adaptations.
* Complete manual handling and risk assessments.
* Work collaboratively with health, social care, and partner agencies.
* Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and support Occupational Therapy students where appropriate.
* Maintain accurate records and deliver evidence-based, person-centred care.
Requirements
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* Current HCPC registration.
* Community Occupational Therapy experience working with adults.
* Experience in equipment provision, housing adaptations, moving and handling, and complex assessments.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
