Heating Engineer – Commercial Gas (HVAC Training Provided) Salary: Up to £50,000 Location: West Midlands (occasional national travel)
Overview We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Gas Heating Engineer to join our friendly and professional team in the West Midlands. This full-time role offers a varied workload across a diverse portfolio of clients, including industrial plants, high-end residential developments, and prestigious hotels.
This is an ideal role for a commercial gas professional who wants to broaden their skill set into HVAC maintenance — full training and certifications provided.
About the Role
Working under the guidance of the Service Supervisor and Directors, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating systems, with the opportunity to expand into HVAC systems over time. While most work is West Midlands-based, you will occasionally travel nationally to support key accounts and project work.
What You’ll Be Doing
*
Service, maintain, and repair:
*
Gas-fired heating plant
*
Commercial boilers and water heaters
*
Chilled water systems (training provided)
*
DX systems (VRV, splits, multi-splits – training provided)
*
HVAC and refrigeration equipment (training provided)
*
Carry out reactive repairs and troubleshooting on heating equipment
*
Undertake routine inspections and identify performance or safety issues
*
Collaborate with colleagues on complex system issues and large installations
*
Work remotely and independently while maintaining strong communication with the team
What We’re Looking For
*
Proven commercial gas engineering experience
*
Current Gas Safe certification (COCN1, CODNCO1, or equivalent)
*
Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledge
*
A collaborative team player who can also operate independently
*
Full UK driving licence
*
An interest in learning HVAC maintenance and broadening technical skills
