Position: Customs & Compliance Coordinator
Location: Camberley
Salary: £41,000
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
Are you an experienced Customs or Freight professional with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of customs compliance?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading global logistics business for a Customs & Compliance Coordinator to join their established team in Camberley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced international logistics environment, working across customs compliance, invoicing, and operational support.
The Role
Working closely with the operational teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring customs compliance, accurate billing, and the smooth day-to-day management of customs warehouse activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing customs compliance across operational activities and HMRC authorisations
Monitoring customs warehouse activity, including receipts, removals and discrepancy reporting
Preparing and processing billing sheets for Air and Ocean Freight shipments
Producing accurate invoices in line with agreed client tariffs
Checking supplier invoices, cost reports and resolving discrepancies
Supporting month-end billing and reporting activities
Uploading client data and maintaining accurate records
Resolving customer and supplier queries promptly and professionally
Supporting operational teams across Air, Ocean and Road Freight where required
Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities for process improvements
Ensuring all work is completed within agreed service level agreements and compliance requirementsWhat we're looking for
Previous experience within Freight Forwarding, Customs or Logistics
Good understanding of customs procedures and compliance requirements
Experience working with customs warehouse processes would be advantageous
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
Confident working with data, reporting and invoicing
Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindsetWhat's on offer
