We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to work on a permanent basis in Wirral/covering North West and North Wales.
Salary is c£39,000 - 42,000 per annum - up to £60,000 OTE, 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company pension, healthcare, career opportunities etc.
This role would suit an experienced Electro-Mechanical Pump Engineer, Mechanical Fitter or Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering business.
Duties/experience for the Mechanical Fitter/Pump Engineer:
We're seeking time-served engineers with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background and experience in the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of industrial pumps, rotating equipment or similar electro-mechanical machinery.
Candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, plant engineering, mechanical fitting or field service are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out workshop-based repairs and servicing of pumps and associated mechanical equipment.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out effective repairs.

Attend customer sites to service, maintain and repair pumps and related equipment.
*
Complete planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdown call-outs.
*
Assist with the installation and commissioning of equipment where required.
*
Accurately complete service documentation and reports.
*
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company health and safety procedures.
*
Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times.
About the Mechanical Fitter/Pump Engineer:
*
Time-served engineer or equivalent practical engineering experience.
*
Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background.
*
Experience working with industrial pumps, rotating equipment, control systems, plant equipment, generators or similar machinery.
*
Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
*
Able to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
*
Strong communication and customer service skills.
*
Full UK driving licence.
