Korn Ferry Solutions is partnering with a global professional services organisation to hire an experienced Tech Lead - Data Engineering for a high-profile cyber analytics programme.

This is an opportunity to help build a new data engineering squad from the ground up, leading the technical delivery of scalable data solutions that support advanced analytics and risk modelling. You'll work closely with Product Owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust data products while remaining hands-on with modern cloud technologies.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of a data engineering squad.
  • Build scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using modern cloud technologies.
  • Design and implement data models that support advanced analytics and business decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Owners to shape technical requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive engineering best practices.
  • Ensure data products are reliable, scalable, and fit for downstream applications and users.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and help shape the future direction of the platform.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience as a Lead or Senior Data Engineer.
  • Proven commercial experience with Databricks.
  • Strong Python, PySpark, Spark, and SQL skills.
  • Experience building scalable data platforms in AWS.
  • Good understanding of modern data engineering practices, including Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture.
  • Experience working closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable leading technically while remaining hands-on.
  • Exposure to analytics, data modelling, or machine learning environments is advantageous.
  • Experience within insurance or financial services is beneficial but not essential.
