The Role
Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, fault-finding, and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime. You'll work across mechanical and electrical systems, including temperature control, vacuum, water and air cooling, dust extraction, A.C. and D.C. motor controls, and 3-phase electrical systems. You'll also support continuous improvement initiatives, machinery installations, engineering projects, and ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with Health & Safety and engineering best practice.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a time-served or qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background and good electrical competency. You'll have experience maintaining industrial manufacturing or production machinery and be confident fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, bearings, conveyors, pumps, and similar industrial equipment is highly desirable, while experience within heavy engineering, foundry, metals, or other industrial manufacturing environments would be advantageous but is not essential. Above all, you'll be a proactive problem solver with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
