Instrumentation Technician
Basildon, Essex | £25,250–£28,000 + Benefits
Our client, a specialist geoenvironmental consultancy, is looking for an enthusiastic Instrumentation Technician to join their growing environmental monitoring team based in Basildon.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career with an interest in electronics, engineering, instrumentation, or environmental technology. Whether you've gained experience through education, work, or personal projects such as Raspberry Pi or DIY electronics, this role offers hands-on training and excellent career development.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, calibrate and maintain environmental monitoring equipment.
Diagnose and repair faults in monitoring systems.
Support the installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment on site.
Manage monitoring data through client portals and internal systems.
Maintain equipment records, inventory and calibration documentation.
Assist with workshop organisation and equipment logistics.
About You
Qualification in Engineering, Electronics, Environmental Science or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
A genuine interest in electronics, instrumentation or technical equipment.
Methodical, organised and keen to learn.
Confident using Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
Full UK driving licence.
