The Role

As a Skills Assessor – CIPD & CMI, you will support learners throughout their qualification journey by assessing work, providing high-quality feedback, and helping them remain engaged and on track to achieve their professional qualifications.

Key responsibilities include:

* Assessing assignments and assessments across CIPD and CMI programmes.

* Providing clear, constructive, and developmental feedback to support learner progression.

* Offering academic guidance and ongoing learner support throughout the qualification journey.

* Monitoring learner engagement and identifying learners who require additional support.

* Maintaining accurate assessment records and learner documentation.

* Working collaboratively with delivery, learner support, and quality assurance teams to achieve retention and achievement targets.

* Participating in standardisation activities and quality assurance processes.

* Meeting assessment turnaround times while maintaining high assessment standards.

* Keeping up to date with qualification frameworks, assessment criteria, and industry best practice.

* Supporting compliance, safeguarding, data protection, and a positive learner experience throughout the programme.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for an experienced assessor or learning professional with a passion for supporting adult learners and delivering high-quality assessment.

You'll have:

* A Level 5 qualification in HR, Learning & Development, Business, or a related discipline.

* An Assessor qualification.

* Experience assessing CIPD qualifications.

* Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.

* Occupational experience within HR, Learning & Development, Management, or wider business functions.

* Experience supporting learners within an education, training, or apprenticeship environment.

* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

* A learner-focused approach and genuine passion for helping others achieve their goals.

Desirable:

* Experience assessing CMI qualifications.

* A Level 7 qualification in HR, Learning & Development, Business, or a related discipline.
