Business Development Manager – Architectural Ironmongery & Fire Door Solutions
Midlands | Hybrid (1 day office-based)
SFR Recruitment Solutions are working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager within the architectural ironmongery and fire door sector.
This is a senior, commercially driven role focused on developing new business, managing key accounts, and delivering technical solutions across the commercial construction market.
The Role
* Identify and secure new business opportunities with:
* Door manufacturers
* Fire door installers
* Contractors, joinery firms, and specialist fit-out companies
* Promote and sell:
* Architectural ironmongery solutions
* Door hardware packages
* Fire doors and compliant fire door sets
* Manage projects from enquiry through to installation, ensuring full compliance with fire, security, and accessibility standards
* Work closely with internal teams to produce accurate specifications and schedules
* Build long-term relationships and develop strategic accounts
* Deliver CPD presentations, product demonstrations, and regular customer engagement
* Maintain a strong pipeline and report on sales activity, forecasts, and KPIs
What We’re Looking For
* Proven sales experience within:
* Architectural ironmongery
* Door hardware / fire doors
* Technical construction products
* Strong understanding of:
* Ironmongery scheduling
* Fire door certifications and compliance
* Door manufacturing processes
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
* Highly organised with strong project management capability
* Full UK driving licence

Technically minded with strong problem-solving ability
