Are you a Flight Simulator Engineer | Motion Systems Engineer | Simulation Engineer?

Have you worked on full-flight simulators, motion platforms or advanced simulation systems?

If so, your experience could be an excellent fit for this opportunity.

We're looking for engineers who have supported sophisticated simulation environments, particularly within aviation and flight training, and are interested in applying those skills to a different type of real-time simulation technology.

While this role doesn't involve commercial or military flight simulators, the engineering challenges are remarkably similar. You'll be working with complex Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation facilities that combine hydraulic motion systems, precision positioning equipment, control systems and real-world hardware to create highly realistic engineering test environments.

If you're experienced in maintaining high-availability simulation equipment, diagnosing faults across mechanical and electrical systems, or supporting motion platforms and control systems, you'll already possess many of the core skills we're looking for. We'll provide the specialist training to help you apply that expertise within this unique engineering environment.

What you'll be doing

*

Maintaining advanced real-time simulation facilities

*

Supporting multi-axis hydraulic motion platforms and precision positioning systems

*

Carrying out preventative maintenance and complex fault diagnosis

*

Working with integrated mechanical, electrical and control systems

*

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

*

Supporting continuous improvement and system upgrades

*

Ensuring highly complex simulation equipment operates safely and reliably

We're interested in engineers with experience of

*

Aircraft flight simulators

*

Full-flight simulators

*

Motion platforms

*

Hydraulic actuation systems

*

Servo systems

*

Electro-mechanical systems

*

Control systems

*

Mechanical and electrical fault finding

*

Preventative maintenance

*

Precision engineering equipment

Suitable job titles include

*

Flight Simulator Engineer

*

Flight Simulation Engineer

*

Simulator Maintenance Engineer

*

Motion Systems Engineer

*

Training Systems Engineer

*

Simulation Support Engineer

*

Test Systems Engineer

*

Controls Engineer

*

Electro-Mechanical Engineer

*

Mechatronics Engineer

What you'll bring

Practical engineering experience in a complex technical environment

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

Experience working with hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems

Confidence interpreting engineering drawings

A proactive approach and willingness to learn new technologies

If you've built your career supporting aircraft simulators or other advanced simulation equipment and are looking to apply your skills in a new and highly specialised engineering environment, we'd love to hear from you. The simulation technology may be different, but the engineering principles and transferable skills are closely aligned
