An ambitious and inclusive secondary school in South London is seeking an experienced Senior Curriculum Leader - SENDCO to join its leadership team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an established SENDCO or aspiring senior leader to shape SEND provision across Key Stages 3-5 while playing a key role in whole-school improvement.
The Role
Lead and develop the school's SEND strategy and provision across Years 7-13.
Act as the designated SENDCO, overseeing EHCPs, annual reviews and statutory processes.
Drive inclusive teaching and learning across all departments.
Lead, develop and line manage SEND staff and Learning Support Assistants.
Monitor pupil progress and ensure effective interventions for students with additional needs.
Work closely with parents, external agencies and senior leaders to secure excellent outcomes for students.
Contribute to whole-school leadership, safeguarding, curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
Teaching commitment of approximately 16 periods per cycle.The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience leading SEND provision within a secondary school.
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills.
