This important role involves working closely with a student who is currently being reintegrated into mainstream education, having previously attended a PRU. About the Role
You will work on a one-to-one basis with a KS3/KS4 learner, supporting their academic progress, emotional regulation, and behaviour. You will collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to deliver tailored support strategies that promote engagement, independence, and positive outcomes.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, it is crucial that applicants meet the following criteria:
Previous experience working in schools or educational settings is essential.
(Applications without school-based experience will not be considered.)
Proven experience supporting students within a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit).
Team Teach training is essential, with the ability to use de-escalation and behaviour management strategies confidently.
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people who display challenging behaviour.
A calm, patient, and resilient approach when supporting students with SEMH needs.
