Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst (BA) to join our team and support a key client in the life sciences sector. This hybrid role is critical to bridging the gap between business stakeholders and our technical delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality and operations within the life sciences industry, coupled with a proven ability to drive projects in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will be responsible for understanding complex business processes, identifying pain points, articulating clear requirements, and working alongside engineers to deliver value quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Work directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs, processes, and pain points, particularly within quality and operations.

Analyze and map existing business processes to identify opportunities for optimization and system improvements.

Translate business needs into clear, well-defined requirements and user stories for the engineering team.

Act as the primary liaison between the business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.

Collaborate with Databricks engineers in a "fail-fast" agile environment to rapidly prototype and prove out concepts in a POC environment.

Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that value is delivered back to the business in a timely manner.

Potentially lead key data initiatives, such as the "flex data" project, which involves requirement gathering from third-party manufacturers.

Challenge existing processes and bring in external best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar hybrid role.

Strong experience in the life sciences industry is highly desirable, with a deep understanding of quality and operations processes.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

experience working with data-focused projects (eg, data governance, data mesh, Databricks) is a plus.

A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for delivering business value and driving change.

Ability to work independently and lead initiatives with minimal supervision.
